Aurora is the second most populous city in the U.S. state of Illinois, and the 112th largest city in the United States.[3] Part of the Chicago metropolitan area, its population in 2010 was 197,899.[1] Aurora is located within Kane, DuPage, Kendall, and Will counties. The city is located 35 miles (57 km) west of Chicago.
